2.Soil and Water Department:

Responsible for physical, chemical and biological analysis of soil and water in order to evaluate its properties for agricultural production including measurement of soil texture, structure, saturation percentage, bulk density, moisture content and infiltration rate.

Measurements of chemical soil fertility including:
Nitrogen, extractable phosphorus, potassium, cation exchange capacity, base saturation percentage, organic carbon and micro elements.
Measurements of salinity and sodicity including:
Electrical conductivity, types and quantity of soluble salts, ESP and pH.
